The Females' Center of Exellence and Leadership, Inc. offers a comprehensive and competitive Internship Program that enables students to obtain experience in the non-profit sector via three (3) and six (6) month non-paid internship rotations.
Interns are offered the option to work virtually and or at our main office in Bloomfield, CT and are expected to complete a minimum of 20 hours per week. To apply, please complete the Internship Application.
Reporting to the LinkHer Program Manager, the Mentor Acquisition Associate gains exposure to top businesses by developing a network of professional female mentors in support of the expansion of the Mentoring Program. Responsibilities include:
- Support recruitment strategies to attract and recruit high-caliber Mentors
- Work with Mentee Acquisition Associate to identify Mentor recruitment needs
- Support LinkHer™ Initiative outreach activities and events
- Manage complete interview process including interviews and reference checks
- Serve as primary point of contact for prospective Mentors
- Perform other duties as needed by organization
Reporting to the LinkHer Program Manager, the Mentee Acquisition Associate builds relationships with educational institutions and non-profits to identify the mentoring needs of female students. Responsibilities include:
- Support recruitment strategies to attract motivated Mentees
- Review all incoming Mentee Applications to identify Mentor requirements
- Partner with Mentor Acquisition Associate to ensure the best-fit mentor match
- Support Mentoring Program outreach activities and events
- Serve as primary point of contact for prospective Mentees
- Perform other duties as needed by organization
- Maintain a three to six month internship rotation
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Associate will gain exposure to grant and sponsorship writing as well as developing a fundraising campaign. Responsibilities include:
- Research local and national grants opportunities and assist with grant writing
- Support the implementation of a Corporate Partnership Program
- Support the development and implementation of a Fundraising Campaign
- Perform other duties as needed by organization
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Associate will gain exposure to developing a social media and communications campaign to engage and expand the organization's network. Responsibilities include:
- Research and utilize social media outlets to deliver organizational information
- Support the development a social media and communications campaign
- Develop informational content to be distributed on a continuous basis
- Perform other duties as needed by organization
