LinkHer™ Initiative

LinkHer™ is a unique initiative that unites female students with female professionals, who provide guidance and support in discovering their full career potential.

This structured career readiness program provides female students, rising high school seniors and those pursuing an advanced education, with insight into any career path through a six-month mentoring rotation which includes training, networking and other resources to support a successful mentoring relationship.

Mentors will have an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and professional networks.

Eligibility

Mentees

    Female rising High School seniors, undergrads, graduate and trade school students enrolled in an accredited institution - recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Mentors

    Female professionals with a Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited institution - recognized by the U.S. Department of Education - OR equivalent work experience.

Our Process

    LinkHer™ mentor and mentee applications are accepted year-round and placed into the LinkHer™ Mentoring Pool. Applications are reviewed on a ongoing basis to establish the best-fit match. If a match cannot be identified in the Pool, the LinkHer™ Recruitment Team actively recruits mentors or mentees to find a best-fit match.


    Once a match is identified, the mentor and mentee are notified and can choose to begin their mentoring relationship in the next upcoming six-month LinkHer™ Rotation. If both mentor and mentee agree to participate in the next upcoming rotation, they will be officially matched and invited to LinkHer™ Orientation.

2016 Rotation Schedule

    LinkHer™ Rotations start on a monthly basis. Please note that Orientations are held on the first day of each rotation and attendance is required before the start of each rotation.


    February Rotation: February 20th, 2016 to August 27th, 2016

    March Rotation: March 19th, 2016 to September 24th, 2016

    April Rotation: April 23rd, 2016 to October 22nd, 2016

    May Rotation: May 21st, 2016 to November 21st, 2016

    September Rotation: September 24th, 2016 to March 25th, 2017

    October Rotation: October 22nd, 2016 to April 22nd, 2017

    November Rotation: November 21st, 2016 to May 20th, 2017

Program Expectations

    - Participate in at least one six month rotation (approx 24 weeks).

    - Attend Orientation Day which includes mentoring training and networking

    - Mentee establishes a goal(s) that mentor will assist in achieving during rotation

    - Maintain at least one mentoring connection per month (in person and/or virtually)

    - Participate in LinkHer™ Mid-Rotation Social

    - Complete mid and end of rotation evaluations
