myRetreat™ Program
myRetreat™ is a scholarship based program that offers intensive developmental education for socially and economically disadvantaged women between 17 and 24 years old.
This weekend retreat gives participants a sense of pause from their daily lives to learn and develop skills as well as establish a network to assist them in achieving their personal, educational and career goals.
The Females’ Center of Excellence and Leadership, Inc. offers full and partial myRetreat™ Scholarships which assist to cover the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, workshops and activities.
myRetreat™ participants are also offered a dedicated mentor and support for six-months. At the end of the six-month period, participants are eligible to apply for the myRetreat™ Grant which provides $1,000 in financial assistance for educational, philanthropic or entrepreneurial ventures.

2013 myRetreat™ Grant Award
The 2013 myRetreat™ Grant was awarded to Ta'Kerra Purnell, rising Freshman at Southern Connecticut State University. The $1,000 myRetreat™ Grant will be used toward tuition at Southern Connecticut State University in an effort to support Ta'Kerra's education in the field of Nursing.
